2018 HOF Results
The results are in! The 2018 GCCGL Hall of Fame inductee is Peter Goldie Goldenberg. As opposed to last year, the results were not all that close. It was a landslide! Read about Goldie’s induction HERE!
The season is almost upon us. We lost a lot of good people this season due to various reasons but have replace them all with new full-time members. I hope the newbies know what they are getting themselves into! We have a lot of nicknames to give out this season! Let’s welcome our new full-time members for the 2018 GCCGL season:

Check out the latest Members roster. The GCCGL draft was completed last week. Every year the draft provides us with a surprise or two. This year’s bomb shell was Syndrome getting selected 7th overall! For the last several years, Syndrome has languished at the back of the pack and was usually the de facto pick last pick of the draft but his stock has risen considerably after winning back-to-back GCCGL championships. Below are this year’s teams. Get your team names in by 3/15 or co-commissioner Cupcake will pick a special one out just for you. I promise you won’t like it.
One of the big changes that came out of this year’s GCCGL winter meetings was a change to the GCCGL schedule. The official GCCGL league still starts on 4/19 and runs for 20 weeks, however we will start a two-week pre-season on 4/5. This two-week pre-season is NOT mandatory, however it is extremely recommended that all new members try and make it out (weather permitted) and get some rounds in. The reason for the two-week pre-season is two-fold. First, it is there primarily for the newbies to get accustomed to the golf course and record a couple of scores prior to the official opening tee. This will be informal, no match play, just play some golf and get to meet the other GCCGL members. Daylight will be at a premium so we will most likely tee off the lower handicap players first to keep play moving along. Second, it will allow everyone else whose wife won’t let them golf on the weekend…cough….Cupcake….cough, a chance to shake off the cobwebs and get some practice in. Only the scores for the newbies will be entered into the handicap database. So, there you have it, two extra weeks of GCCGL fun! You’re welcome!

Countless blog fodder provider, almost hurt myself outrunning the Gimp, Cletus, and this is the thanks I get. Sliding down a hill of mud. Ok, fine. I’ll be as nondescript and unassuming as Petryk or Joel what’s his name. See how you like that. (seriously, does Joel have a nickname??? Who is Joel? does he even exist anymore??? did he ever exist???)
