The origin for Cletus’ nickname is simple, it’s his REAL name! We can’t make that up! His hobbies/likes include annoying folks on the tee, gambling and breaking toes on rock fireplaces but he’s best known all over Northern KY for his one of a kind reverse pivot golf swing. One of his many specialties include backing up a boat trailer under the influence and manufacturing controversy where there is none. A former GCCGL co-commissioner, his greatest contributions to the league were the infamous One Man Scramble, the Cletus Handicap System and his most famous quote ultimately became the GCCGL creed, “Never Question an Eight!”
