Fashion Tip #11 – August 15, 2013

THE LIPSMACKER MATCH OF THE WEEK:


I realize this week is a team event, but that doesn’t mean there are no good story lines / match-ups.  Namely, the battle to be crowned GCCGL champion.  #teamname (seriously might be the worst team name in the history of the GCCL) leads Free Pork Sandwich… (maybe the best name in the history of the GCCGL) by only 1.5 points.  I was really looking forward to watching these two battle it out tonight.  Until I got word of the sub #teamname got for Glen “Wildcard” Gustafson.  Zach McNeil will be playing for Wildcard tonight.  A sub that is COMPLETELY LEGAL by GCCGL handicap standards and established rules.  No offense to Wildcard here, but this an A player subbing for a C player.  Wildcard has had a great year as far as win percentage and points – but Zach is one of the best high school golfers in NKY.  Someone explain how he maintains a 7 handicap in the GCCL!!!  Regardless, good luck to both teams…

Now let’s take a look at the toilet bowl race.  Moore’s Misfits maintains last place with 267.5 points.  Not far in front of them is Tiagra Woods with 271.25 points.  I’ve learned some interesting news on both of these teams today; 1.) Ed Petryk is a late scratch and Jeff Rozell will be stepping in.  This sub is pretty much one for one in my mind. What surprises me is that Moore’s Misfits actually found a sub.  I figured they bagged this whole season but this late scramble to find a sub leads me to believe they are interested in fighting out of the toilet bowl.  2.) Tiagra Woods has team members dropping like crazy.  Subs are saying they can’t play tonight because they are too busy with work…  Regular team members are going out of town without finding subs.  One thing is for sure – Tiagra Woods’ tee time is hours away – and this team is in disarray.
