Kreyling Korner – Week #18 – 08/22/14
THE KREYLING KORNER
You didn’t think I was going to let week 18 go by without a Kreyling Korner post…did you?
It’s hard to believe the 2014 season is over. Congrats to Das Boots are Made for Golfing on the championship seasons. It’s been a fun season and I think there are a lot of people that deserve to be thanked. So….let’s pass out some thank you notes!
- Thank you, Beer Cart Girl, for only showing up on the first hole and never seeing you again. I didn’t realize, I wasn’t thirsty after hole one…
- Thank you co-commissioners Cupcake and Portuguese Warrior for all the hard work in running this league. You aren’t very good golfers, attractive, or generally likeable – but boy you guys know how to run a league.
- Thank you Das Boots Were Made for Golfing for missing a four foot birdie putt, in front of a large gallery, on hole number 9. You ultimately won the championship, but you proved a change in the tee time orders for scramble events was the right call.
- Thank you Ohio, for having hair color on your driver’s license. As we discussed during post round refreshments – the state of Ohio has managed to depress bald men even more.
- Thank you Cletus, for becoming even more senile as another year in the GCCGL passes. Old man Jokes like “do you have prince Albert in a can…well you better let him out” and responses to simple questions like “Cletus – did you see my ball over there….I don’t know but it’s a love triangle” let us all know you really are just one bad step away from breaking a hip.
- Thank you Troy Bachman for leaving Sasquatch size footprints on the greens. The enormity of your footprints distracted us from the other 100 ball marks in our putting line.
- Thank you, Cletus Handicap scoring system, for never changing no matter how good or bad a score was. This provided endless controversy as Schmuck Dynasty and CTTHAD tried to decide who is subbing for number 2 and Wildcard and entire league tried to guess if a subs handicap was anywhere close to legitimate.
- Thank you to the members of the GCCGL. Without you this league would not be the greatest league in the Northern Kentucky / Cincinnati area.
