No MOW in week 11 because it’s time for Montezuma’s Revenge.  However, Cletus did secure the W in week 10 taking my overall MOW to 4-2.  I’ll take it halfway through match play in the 2023 season.  #georgesucks

Undershirts

Time for a good old Lip-Gloss fashion tip.  And to be fair, this fashion tip comes about based on a conversation I had with Swiper last week.  The question – why do so many of the members in the GCCGL wear undershirts?  And yes, it’s a lot.  I counted 7 to 8 last week alone and I kind of just stopped counting because people were moving around and I couldn’t remember who I counted and who I didn’t (beer man…it happens).  Seriously though – why do so many people where undershirts under their golf shirt?  First of all, it looks dumb.  Look it up dudes, if you wear an undershirt the undershirt should be invisible.  Second of all, every golf shirt sold since 2006 is made of “moisture-wicking” fabric.  What does that mean?  I looked that up too.  One, the fabric quickly moves sweat to outer surface and two, it quickly dries to not saturate the fabric.  If that’s the technology, why would you add an undershirt that’s made of cotton?  It’s just going to make things hotter…and wetter.  We can discuss when that is appropriate at another time.  It’s NOT good while playing golf.  #dirtymind

T-Swift

Maybe it’s the old guy in me, but is anyone else amazed at how crazy Cincinnati is right now with this Taylor Swift concert this weekend?   People actually camped out last night to be first in line for the Merchandise truck.  The Merchandise Truck!!!  Debate on the first tee tonight – is Taylor Swift as big as Madonna?  Also worth discussing – is anyone in the league going to the concert this weekend?  There has to be one!  Look I realize this is kind of a lame topic, but my daughter is going to the concert on Friday and she has not SHUT UP about Taylor Swift for the last freaking month.  And I’m not going to lie her songs are starting to get into my head.  So much so I feel like I can make them relevant in the GCCGL.

It has been a “Cruel Summer” for the Crowe Dog Millionaires.

With all this Canadian wildfire smoke, we might play tonight in a “Lavender Haze.”

After winning one GCCGL Championship, Cupcake and I, “We are never ever getting back together.”

I’m done with this topic.  And undoubtably the league is going to think it’s stupid…which means there will be “Bad Blood.”  #makeitstop

Villa Hills Longhorns

Shout out to my Villa Hills Longhorns 13U team who clinched the Northern Kentucky Baseball League Championship last night.  We won 4-3 in 6 innings.  Proud Poppa going to brag here for a second.  My step-son, Matt, pitched a complete game with 9 strikeouts and knocked in 2 of the 4 runs.  My son, Brady, hit a triple in the top of the 6^th with 2 outs and falling to an 0-2 count early in the at bat; he then scored the winning run on a pitch that got past the catcher.  It was a damn fun night and with that championship, I am officially retiring from coaching.  Forever! #champs

Song of the Week

I watched a Guardians of the Galaxy II this past weekend and absolutely love the scene where Groot dances around while the rest of his crew is in a fight with some big alien thing.  For that reason Mr. Blue Sky from Electric Light Orchestra gets the nod. #makesmewanttodance
