“Red, White and Blue” is a match play event that utilizes all three sets of tees throughout the round: the red tees, the white (or yellow) tees, the blue (or black) tees. Or, to put it another way, the front tees, the middle tees and the back tees. This event will be played as close to the July 4th holiday as possible.
Each player will tee off 3x from the RED (front) tees, 3x from the WHITE (middle) tees and 3x from the BLUE (back) tees. As we have a few older “gentlemen” in the league who play the forward tees each week, they will only play the RED, YELLOW, and, WHITE tee markers, BUT to keep things equitable, we will add 2 strokes to their normal handicap. The younger players will in fact play a true Red, White and Blue event (no yellow).
Note: *****The score for this round will NOT be used in the handicap calculation system*****
Each player gets to choose the tees they tee off from. It doesn’t matter when or where you tee off from as long as you tee off 3 times from each tee location. Choose your tee locations wisely!
