2020 HOF Results

The results are in! The 2020 GCCGL Hall of Fame inductee is Oliver Captain Obvious Livermore.  It was a landslide (8-1). Syndrome got 1 vote for HOF. Someday JR…..someday. Read all about Oliver’s induction HERE! Oliver’s induction breaks the streak of three years in a row that an “A Player” was voted in. Finally, some love for the lowly C/D group.

The season is almost upon us. We went with 20 full-time members (5 teams) this season for a couple of reasons. First, we needed to replenish the subs list. The list has gotten sparse over the years with subs (that actually want to play). Second, we did have some additional interest this season which is  GOOD thing! However, hardly any of the new members had established handicaps so it would have been very difficult to hold a fair draft. Therefore, we will let the newbies get a year under their belt and establish a solid handicap and then assuming they still want to play in the GCCGL after spending the better part of 20 weeks with you Yahoos (I’m including myself in this group), we WILL go back to 6 teams in 2021.

The draft is coming up. The season is set to start on 4/23. We will have a practice rounds on 4/9 and 4/16 and for anyone who wants to get out there and get a few swings in before the season officially starts.
