2019 – Week 7

Sorry for the delay golf fans, I had to run out and buy some cargo shorts to get in the right frame of mind to write the blog. They’re actually tough to find these days unless you go to the Salvation Army store.

I was a little worried as my foursome worked it’s way around the pioneer back nine and mentioned to my playing partners that something funny better happen pronto or the blog would be as boring as George’s usual drivel and sadly, it doesn’t get much better than this.

By this point in the summary, I suppose I should comment on the weather, but I think it was actually pretty decent. Who knows. It has rained so regularly this year I’m not really sure when it stops and starts.

The only thing of note this week is some strange things from people who usually fly below the radar. After getting spanked by the player who is arguably having the worst year in a while (besides Ollie), Morell walked past Big Donkey and told him he smelled good. WTF???? I guess that’s why Meat never goes out for libations after the round…he must hide his unrequited love for Big Mike. Don’t get me wrong, Mike’s a handsome man, but I just don’t see a future for these two. The age difference alone. Although, they’d make a great two ball scramble team.

Speaking of balls, imagine what CENSORED. Remind me to tell you the rest of this story in person.

Thankfully, the nicer weather led to some decent golf. Being on the Pioneer didn’t hurt either. 70% of the league at or below par, including Etheridge with a low net 28. Yes, 28. That handicap should start dropping like panties at prom. Roller, who gave the aforementioned smackdown on Morell shot a net 32. See, it does get better Daniel. More importantly, it seems Cupcake’s spreadsheet actually calculates correctly now, so these stats are not fake news.
