HOF Overview

OVERVIEW

Beginning with the Class of 2015, the GCCGL of Fame will use the following process and criteria for an individual to be inducted:

SELECTION COMMISSION

The process is governed by a Selection Commission made up of existing full-time GCCGL commissioners who will be responsible for submitting finalists for considered into the Hall of Fame.  To be inducted, an individual must receive approval from at least 60% of the Selection Sub-Committee.

SELECTION SUB-COMMITTEE

A Selection Sub-Committee will oversee the vetting process for potential finalists into the GCCGL Hall of Fame.  The Selection Sub-Committee will be comprised of the current year’s full-time GCCGL members including past Hall of Fame members. This is a huge responsibility and should not be taken lightly. Your vote counts!

CATEGORIES & CRITERIA

There are three categories under which an individual may be considered for Induction: Male and Female Competitor Categories and the Lifetime Achievement Categories.

INDUCTION PROCESS

Each new Class of Inductees will be selected after a vetting process by the Selection Sub-Committee and a vote from the Selection Commission.

SELECTION COMMISSION

The Selection Commission is comprised of all GCCGL commissioners tasked with electing inductees in the Male and Female Competitor and Lifetime Achievement Categories.

CATEGORIES & CRITERIA

Female Competitors

A player must have a cumulative total of 10 or more official victories on any of the GCCGL tours with membership in the GCCGL OR at least one GCCGL Chamionship.

There is no age limit in which a player must be at the start of the year in which selections are made in order to qualify for the this year’s inductee Class. Inductee candidates must have accumulated a minimum of 5 years as a GCCGL member. The potential inductee candidate CAN be an ACTIVE member. The commission knows this flies in the face of a normal HOF induction process, however it was decided that by having the ability to induct existing members, it enhances the opportunity for more ceremonial tee shots.
