Kreyling Korner – Week #14 – 07/21/16
THE LIPSMACKER MATCH OF THE WEEK
Week #13 was rough for the glossy one. 0-2 in my MOW picks and I lost to Tucker. It’s depressing to bring up my overall MOW record – 6-13-1. I wish I knew why I cannot win at anything in the GCCGL.
A/B Group – Mitch “Prince Albert” Smith vs. Mike “Big Donkey” Harris – Let’s all take a minute and give Mitch a round of applause. As one of the unluckiest golfers in the league, Mitch has taken a bunch of L’s on the chin this year. Did that let Mitch bring him down? Hell no, Prince Albert manned up an managed to get his record to .500 (4-4-1). Tonight the Prince takes on the mighty Donkey. Let’s give Mike a round of applause on this season as well. Not only is Mike undefeated, he has only shot one gross score in the 40s. That gross score was a 40. El Presidente Lip-gloss tips his hat to your MVP season Big donkey…it’s a shame you are on a team with Ollie and Tucker. GLOSSY PREDICTION: Mitch has fought hard in 2016, but Harris is just too strong this year. Mike wins 6-4.
C/D Group – Jason “Cupcake” Nill vs. Brian “The Senator” Roddy –There are a lot of things working in Cupcake’s favor this week, so I have a feeling Nill breaks the MOW curse. First of all, Nill is a perfect 2-0 over Roddy in the career match-ups. Second, he actually played decently last week shooting a 43. He still lost, but improvement is key. Now on to the Senator – not a bad season overall with a record of 2-3-1. What I can say, his attendance record is less than stellar at 58.3%. It’s hard being on the campaign trail and maintaining a solid golf swing. GLOSSY PREDICTION: As if there was any doubt – I’m going with Cupcake. He’s my teammate and he’s part of my wolfpack (sorry I’m watching the Hangover… and we’re the three best friends that anyone can have”). Jason wins 5.5-4.5.
